There is a fairly logical path to take when planning and
producing a Direct Mail campaign, so we've put together this
list of pointers to help you. It is a guide rather than an
exhaustive list, so if you would like further advice or information
then you can call us on 0113 276 5500 or contact us via the
'Contact Us'
page.
- Decide what you want your message to be. What are you trying
to convey
information
a warning
or an offer?
- Decide how you want the pack to look.
- Decide what the best format of combining the above is -
either a mailpack, postcard, and whether a reply device is
necessary etc.
- If the pack does require a response device, check yourself
to see if it works.
- Ask someone unrelated to the campaign to read through it
and check it all make sense to the recipient.
- Send the artwork, data and letter text to the mailing house
with the necessary instructions.
- Check the text and
live proofs that the mailing house provide for
content, accuracy and position.
- Confirm how you would like the items in the pack to be
folded and finished.
- Check a Sample
Enclosing Pack that the mailing house provides
prior to enclosing for the sequence and direction of items
within the pack.
- Confirm you are happy for the packs to be released into
the Royal Mail system.
